CAB Coordinator: Nisreen Khatib

Hey! My name is Nisreen and I am the CAB Coordinator. I am double majoring in Accounting and Management (with a concentration in Human Resources). I am currently a junior at DePaul and have loved every moment here so far!! For my first two years, I commuted from Naperville using the Metra and this year I just moved out to the city.
Just a little more about me, I love to dance, any time, any place and I love Chicago! My role in CAB is that of president. I do a little bit of everything. CAB has been one of the best parts of my college years and I pretty much love everything about it. However, my favorite parts of CAB are definitely the DePaul @'s and all the great friends I have made.
LPC Outreach Chair: Annelise Cunningham

My name is Annelise Cunningham, I am a third year student at DePaul University. I have been with CAB since my second year at DePaul. I am studying psychology with a concentration in cognitive neuroscience. I am studying towards a phD in clinical psychology. I currently live on west surf street off of the Diversity stop on the Brownline. I work for Jumpstart and, also, part time at Wet Seal downtown on State Street! I like to keep myself busy and involved!
CAB is such a great part of my DePaul experience! I have learned leadership skills as well as teamwork involvement through my position within the organization. My favorite thing about CAB is the opportunity to see the city and connect with individuals I would have never gotten the chance to meet based on class schedules! CAB has served as a wonderful environment to find myself and contribute back to my university.
This year I serve as the representation for CAB in Lincoln Park. I am currently working to establish both a committee to help in creating events and a CAB friendly environment making our services known and available to the Lincoln Park population. I can be found in the office of student life located on the second floor of the student center! Feel free to come ask any commuter questions or obtain information on upcoming events!
Events Chair: Alitza Araiza

My name is Alitza Araiza. I serve as the Program and Events Chair for CAB. Currently, I am an accounting and finance major working on my last year of coursework while studying for my CPA exam in a couple months. My position with CAB consists of organizing annual events to bring DePaul’s commuter population closer together. Most of these events have been of the social nature and include outings such as karaoke nights, private golf lessons, salsa dancing workshops, and even Whirlyball competitions. My favorite aspect of being on the board is having the ability to diversify our programming each year while incorporating new experiences and new people to neighborhoods all over the city.
Technology Chair: Gabriel de Soto

My name is Gabriel de Soto. I am the Technology Chair for the Commuter Advisory Board. I'm a junior at DePaul, and I commute from the suburb of River Grove. I am a computer science major and hope to be working at Google very soon (knock on wood) :). I joined CAB to meet people, and I have met my closest friends from DePaul through CAB. One of my favorite events was the Whirlyball event. If you haven't Whirlyballed yet, you should.
Marketing Chair/CAB Coordinator: Jonae Kates

My name is Jonae Kates. I am the Marketing Chair for CAB. In my role, I create and design any promotional materials for CAB such as flyers, posters, and poster board layouts. I am a commuter and I commuter from the southside of Chicago. The closet stop on the "EL" to me is the 95th red line station. I am currently a junior and a CDM student majoring in Animation.
I joined CAB in the beginning of my sophomore year during the fall, so this is my second year in CAB. I joined CAB in hopes of meeting other commuter students like myself; which I did. I love CAB and everything that it stands for. My favorite aspect of being a part of CAB is the opportunity to see the city and travel throughout the surrounding Chicagoland areas with people I have a lot in common with. The most rewarding event so far has been the golf event we did last year. I would have never gotten that opportunity to learn how to play golf by a professional golf instructor if I wasn't in CAB. And of course, I love the free food!!! :)
