The National Society of Collegiate Scholars at DePaul University is an organization where like-minded students can come together to network, discuss their goals and help the Chicagoland community. With quarterly general body meetings, students have the opportunity to meet their fellow colleagues and learn about upcoming events. While we do a number of social events and community service projects throughout the year, our biggest event is Planning to Achieve Collegiate Excellence (PACE), formerly known as March to College Day. PACE is a yearly event, where we host students from Chicago high schools, offer tours of the university and hold programs throughout the day teaching students of the various post-high school options, specifically college. Members of NSCS can interact with and inspire these students to take advantage of the opportunities at hand, all while gaining leadership experience and the knowledge that they have positively impacted a younger generation.
Whether it’s scholarship, leadership, or service, NSCS members are involved because they want to be involved, because they truly care about the process of learning, inspiring, and developing the self and others.
